Club Carlson – the loyalty scheme for Park Inn, Radisson and Park Plaza hotels – has a current bonus offer for 15k points (worth ~£75) after a 2 night stay, or 30k points (~£150 value) after a 3+ night stay – running until 29th March 2015.
I’m pleased to report these bonuses do indeed combine with the 2-for-1 rate available to Gold Members of the scheme. (They would also combine with the 4-for-2 rate, however 2 nights is a more efficient duration for triggering these bonuses).
In fact, I actually earned an extra 10k on top that I wasn’t expecting…
Last weekend I stayed for 2 nights at the Park Inn by Radisson Heathrow for a grand total of £70 and 27,400+ points are now in my account from this stay. The breakdown:
1,800+ basic room points
600+ Gold status bonus points (35%)
15,000 Promotion Points – Extend Your Stay Bonus
10,000 Promotion Points – Extend Your Stay Early Bird Bonus
– The early bird bonus of 10k on the first promo qualifing stay (2 nights or 3+ nights) and which was for registering before 12th January was a perk I’d not actually noticed, making this stay even more lucrative! (And a good reminder to check the small print when you first see a promotion.)
The 35% bonus is for being a Gold member of their scheme (which is also a requirement to book the 241 and 442 rates). However Gold status is a free benefit of holding the American Express Platinum Charge Card available in the UK.
If you want to hold the Amex platinum card, I’m happy to provide referrals – referrals currently offer 35,000 sign-up bonus points, rather than the 30,000 for applying directly.
