Hilton Grand Vacations are offering 2 nights at the Hilton London Metropole for £199 (including breakfast) and you will receive 10,000 Hilton Honours points bonus if you agree to listen to a 90 minute presentation on two timeshare opportunities.
(EDIT: This article originally said 30k bonus – as the Hilton copy was either inconsistent or has now changed!
The London Metropole is right next to Edgware Road underground station and very near Paddington Railway Station, close to Marble Arch / Hyde Park and also Regents Park / Baker Street, etc.
The £199 rate includes breakfast for two. Pricing it up on the Hilton website right now – for comparison purposes – on select days I can see rates of £99 per night advance purchase, without breakfast. But usually they seem a bit higher than that.
The offer rate allows one additional night at £150 and upgrades to executive rooms for £45 (property does have an executive lounge).
Stays need to be completed by the 29th February 2016, and blackout dates for 20th December until 8th January apply.
The link that I was sent by email is available for booking until 13th November:
However there seems to be another version of the offer, allowing bookings until 18th December:
The offer rate is also changeable – subject to restrictions, see the linked terms and conditions.
Worth it for the points? Personal question. How much do you pay for your London hotel stays (and will you be in London anyway)? How does that figure compare to £199 price point for two nights? What value do you put on 10k HH points? and crucially are you willing to spend 90 minutes being told about timeshares to get 10k points?
The properties they will be promoting seem to be the Hilton Grand Vacations at Craigendarroch Suites near Balmoral in Scotland, and the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Borgo alle Vigne in Tuscany, Italy … should you have any interest in a timeshare.
